Hi, my name is Joe Garite II, I’m a Web developer from the Brooklyn, New York area who believes in creating clean, usable and accessible Web sites. I strive for simplicity and elegance in design, coding, and development. I believe that the act of gaining information should be straightforward and good design should be affordable and available to all.
I’ve been in the web development field since 2001. Since then, I have built somewhere around 100 websites – quality websites, not those one page websites that are just advertisements. I usually don’t make websites any smaller than 5-pages, but some have only been 3-pages due to the clients content.
I most recently worked as the lead web developer at a local retail store in Binghamton, NY, where ASP, a programming language that seems to be fading slowly, was used on a daily basis. Before that, I worked at a e-commerce company as the web developer and web team manager. Prior to that, I attended and graduated from Katharine Gibbs School of New York and graduated with attention to web development. I have recently returned to school, online, for a degree in programming and plan to graduate in 2010.
